Hair transplantation surgeies have been known since 1939, and these surgeries began to grow as the classical technique or the fut Follicular unit transplantation was discovered 25 years ago.
Although follicular unit hair transplantation was not one of the most modern hair transplant techniques, but it is widely known and it spread extensively for a period of time until the beginning of the second millennium and the emergence of other techniques.

The number of follicles is not fixed in this technique, because it depends on the follicles that were extracted from the taken strip. Therefore,
the transplant is not according to the need, but rather according to the number of available follicles.

The area from which the strip will be removed is determined by the specialist transplant surgeon, then the patient is given general anesthesia, and he may be given some sedatives before the surgery as they desire. After that, the strip containing the follicles that will be used as graft is taken, and the follicles are implanted in the bald area in a process that can take from 4 to 8 hours, giving density and beauty closer to natural hair, and finally scalp stitches are done at the end of the procedure and bandages are placed on it.

The follicular unit hair transplantation technique leaves a permanent scar at the back of the head, which is considered one of the biggest disadvantages that can happen with this technique.
The head hair transplant results appear in the classic technique after about 6 to 9 months, and some cases may take 12 months to give
the closest result to the required results.
