Teeth Cleaning Procedure and all about it

Tooth decay and gum diseases are among the most prominent dental problems that most people suffer from, in addition to the yellowing of the teeth color. All of these problems are due to poor oral and dental care as in calcium buildup, plaque, or tartar on the teeth that lead everyone to look for the possible ways to teeth cleaning which will be explored in this article. In fact, one of the best ways is Teeth cleaning procedure which is a dental deep cleaning necessary to maintain the oral health and teeth cleanliness by removing tartar. It is performed to prevent tooth decay and protect the gums from infections.

Teeth Cleaning Procedure

There are many ways of Cosmetic dentistry to remove tartar from the teeth, clean them, and maintain oral health. An example of these ways can be by using toothpastes that contain fluoride in particular with a manual or electric toothbrush or by using floss or mouthwashes to prevent decay. However, the American Dental Association recommends dental plaque removal and cleaning the teeth professionally in medical clinics once every six months as the remaining layers of tartar and plaque on the surface of the teeth and lack of proper and regular teeth cleaning lead to the formation of a harsh layer that is difficult to be cleaned only by the use of tooth brushes and paste. Moreover, lack of proper and regular teeth cleaning may lead to decay of the teeth or to a gum disease that can be caused by the negative effects of tartar. Furthermore, some studies have shown that the bacteria that form dental plaque don’t only cause harm to the oral health but also to the health of the body’s internal organs.

Process of Professional Teeth Cleaning Procedure

First, the patient’s mouth is examined to check its oral health, then the tartar is removed manually from the teeth by using specific tools followed by using ultrasound or laser dental cleaning device or by using water pressure in order to obtain a dental deep cleaning of the internal areas of the mouth and back of teeth, which are difficult to reach by using toothbrushes, after that the floss is used to remove any residues of tartar and then the teeth are polished. Finally, a layer of fluoride is placed to ensure deep cleaning teeth treatment.
